Annual Awards 2024 - 2nd May
This year's theme is Masquerade, promising an enchanting evening of mystery and celebration where we recognise Northumbria’s stars in academics, leadership and beacons of creativity! This event starts at 7pm and costs as little as £3.50.

For all you padawans “what is a pizza battle!!”
Slice Wars is a free entry event we set up to showcase the best pizza pushers in the region and beyond, by creating a level field, and inviting vendors to duke it out for the right to claim BEST in the galaxy.
Start time is 11am and is free to enter.

Chilled life drawing in a very relaxed environment with gentle music, colourful lighting and fully licensed bar & hot drinks.
No judgement; no pressure, no teacher – just drawings.
We hope to have an array of different models taking inspiration from classic art, yoga and contemporary dance and covering a variety of age groups, physiques and skin colours.
The Late Shows is an award-winning late-night free culture crawl.
During The Late Shows, open art studios, music and performance venues, galleries, museums, studio collectives and landmark historical buildings come together to host intriguing interactive events for visitors. It’s all about encouraging people to do something cultural with their evening.
The Late Shows take place between 6-10.30pm, with last entry at 10pm. Friday night is for Ouseburn Valley venues. Saturday night's event takes place at venues across central Newcastle and Gateshead with Gateshead venues open from 6-10pm, with last entry at 9.30pm.

A recent but thrilling arrival on the Newcastle music scene, Bitchfinder General offer an explosion of queer punk mayhem and general post-punk excellence, fronted by Jayne Dent, who is also the remarkable Me Lost Me (although BG are very different).
They're hitting Live to promote their debut EP and it promises to be a noisy DIY takeover.
This exhibition is the culmination of three years of student-artist learning on Northumbria's BA (Hons) Fine Art degree.
Alongside Northumbria University, we are jointly presenting the 2024 BA Graduate's work on Level 1 at Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art and across Northumbria University's city campus in Newcastle.
The exhibition will platform an upcoming generation of artists and spans painting, sculpture, photography, installation and video work.
