Resources for Schools

Professor Greta Defeyter OBE has spent the last twenty years conducting research into school breakfast clubs and holiday activities and food programmes (HAF) and has published extensively on UK school breakfast clubs. The research team within the Healthy Living Lab at Northumbria University are passionate about translating research findings into policy and practice.

To support primary schools in adopting the Department for Education (DfE)'s Breakfast Programme, the team has developed some research informed, practical materials to guide senior leaders through the process.
