Whilst we also offer a range of on-campus events, we recognise that virtual events are still a great way for you to find out about Northumbria from wherever you are in the world.
We are pleased to welcome you to Northumbria through our Virtual Events to give you a taste of what you can expect when you decide to study with us.
We know that there are lots of things you want to know before you apply to university but ploughing through all of that information can be overwhelming.
We also know your time is precious and you don’t always have hours at a time to spend online.
So, we have taken our Virtual Events and broken them down into a series of bitesize events to help you learn all about Northumbria and what we have to offer you.

Each event will give you the chance to ask the questions you need answers to.
There will be live panels where you can connect with students and staff, live chats where you can talk directly to an adviser.
You can sign up for your event by hitting the ‘register for a virtual event’ button on the open day page. You may have also received an email from us which will include a link to register.
Yes, you can register for as many events as you like! If you’re interested in more than one subject area this is a great chance to find out about the different courses and speak to our staff and students to see which course is for you.
Closer to the event you will be sent a link to access the event via email.
You can access the event via your mobile, however, to get the best from the event we would recommend using a PC or laptop. To fully participate in the event and view all live elements, we recommend you use Google Chrome. You can use other browsers such as Microsoft Edge, Apple Safari and Mozilla Firefox but it may be potentially harder to access all parts of the events.
Cameras and microphones are not required for the live sessions. Click 'X'on the right hand side of the live broadcast screen to close the message and join the live event.
We have some great content to share with you but some of the files are large. Bear with us – at busy times when there is a lot of people on the platform it may take a little while longer to load, but it will be worth the (very short) wait.
