You're starting University soon and wondering what essential items to pack up and take with you - what do you need? What can't you get through the day without?  We asked our students what they couldn't do without when they started University and this is what they said...

 Student _Essentials

1. Alarm Clock - To make sure you get to your lectures on time! 2. Laptop - Access all of your files, Blackboard ELP, Uni emails and MyNorthumbria via Desktop ANYWHERE. 3. Umbrella - It rains in Newcastle... from time to time. 4. Bike - A good way to explore the city, save money on travel, and keep fit! 5. Mobile - Keep in touch with your family and with your new University friends. 6. Bottle opener - Always handy. 7. Outfits - You never know what you might be doing, from paintballing to going to a ball. 8. Cake - Who doesn't like cake? Especially to get you through deadlines and exams. 9. Stationary - Making those important lecture notes the old fashioned way. 10. USB - Don't rely on your memory - use a stick and back it up! 11. Dressing gown - For cosy comfort in your Halls. 12. Boots - Unofficial student uniform. 13. Toothbrush - Keep your teeth shiny and breath fresh. 14. Diary - Keep track of your work and social commitments. 15. Coffee - Meet your mates for a chat over a cup of Joe.

Make sure to pack up all of your must-have items and bring them with you!
