Who we are and what we do

Based in Newcastle Upon Tyne, Serios Group are experts in Data Solutions, enabling organisations to take control of their data, delivering rapid value without compromise. We are agnostic of industry sector, working across the likes of real estate and facilities management, telecoms, technology, financial services, automotive, gaming, retail and football.

What role did the Northumbria graduate join your company in?

Two graduates joined us as Graduate Data Analysts.

What made the Northumbria graduate stand out during the recruitment process?

The graduates stood out during the recruitment process because of their previous work experience and skillsets. They showed a real passion and a strong desire to keep learning, which made them a great fit for Data Analyst roles. We’ve always found our connections with Northumbria to be really positive, with a huge number of interested applicants.

How has the Northumbria graduate contributed to your organisation so far?

Both graduates have been a great addition to the team. They've settled in brilliantly and are already showing strong progress and potential. We're really pleased with their contribution so far. Our Northumbria graduates recently played a key role in delivering a large-scale project, and what stood out was their ability to apply real-world examples to their work. They picked things up quickly, significantly increasing output while also contributing to testing.

Their enthusiasm, commitment to learning new skills, and collaborative mindset didn’t go unnoticed. We even received fantastic client feedback highlighting the value they brought to the team.

Can you share a brief example of a project or achievement they have been involved in?

Within their first 6 months of joining us, they have worked on multiple client projects across a wide range of sectors, including sport, healthcare, property, finance and the third sector. Projects range from smart building developments, sport analysis and building our own in-house data platform.

Additionally, they have adopted the role of mentors and supporting other graduates across the business and representing us at recruitment and career events.

What specific skills (technical, soft skills, industry knowledge) did they bring that benefited your organisation?

Both graduates brought key skills like Python and SQL, key languages we use, which was useful. They are also great with clients and have a strong passion for data, all of which have benefited us massively.

How did you find the experience of recruiting from Northumbria University?

Recruiting from Northumbria has always been a positive experience. The process is efficient, and we’ve consistently found talented candidates. We appreciate the strong connection and look forward to continuing to work together.
