David Spoors

PhD in Business and Law

David is a third year PhD student at Northumbria University. His thesis is entitled, 'Broadband Adoption and Digital Inclusion in Social Housing Tenants.". Learn more about David and his experience of studying at Northumbria University.

 

David has over fifteen years’ experience leading and managing in a number of leading blue chip organisations, working within their ICT and Digital functions leading on transformation, change and technology adoption.

The working title of David’s thesis is Broadband Adoption and Digital Inclusion in Social Housing Tenants and the research is externally sponsored by Your Homes Newcastle. During the research Your Homes Newcastle were nominated for a Digital Leaders 100 Award in the category of Digital Leader of the Year for the work of YHN’s Digital Inclusion Officer – a key individual in the research project.

David is also an Elected Member of Northumbria Students’ Union – Student Executive and is passionate about representation of postgraduate students and the issues they face.

  • Postgraduate Certificate in Management Studies

  • Certified PRINCE2 Practitioner

  • ITIL Certificate in Service Management

  • Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute (FCMI)

  • Professional Member of the British Computer Society (MBCS)
