Where are you from?

Scunthorpe

Why did you choose Northumbria University, Newcastle?

The course was the best to choose, as it incorporates the LPC into my degree.

What do you think of Newcastle and our region and what are your favourite things to do?

The city is great for students, being very cheap and has a great nightlife. The people in the area are very friendly also.

What has surprised you most about living in Newcastle and this region? What has impressed you most?

How cheap it is compared to other cities and the amount of students that live here!

Did you find Northumbria University welcoming? Was it easy to fit in?

Yes!

What have you enjoyed most about coming to Northumbria University?

Meeting new people and being able to get on with my course.

What is your favourite place on campus?

The Students' Union.

What is the best thing about your course?

Being able to do the LPC at University which will have saved me a lot money in the long run.

What are the most valuable lessons you have learnt to date?

Dont leave revision to the last minute and keep a track of all your work so you stay ahead.

What do you want to do in the future? What skills have you learned/improved that you think will be of most use in your future career?

I want to become a solicitor and being able to practise (both assessed and unassessed) at University has helped me to become a better trainee lawyer so far.

Have you worked on any projects with businesses or been on a placement? What were your most memorable experiences?

I have been on work experience at a law firm where I was able to put what I had learnt at University into practise, this was a good feeling as it showed the practising lawyers that new trainees had an idea of what to do when qualified.

If you could offer some advice to students thinking of coming to study here what would you say?

Go for it, dont be worried about money or leaving home, University is the best experience you can have at such a young age and it sets you up for the future.

How do you feel you have changed as a person since being at Northumbria University, Newcastle (e.g. confidence)?

I have grown in confidence, become more aware of the every day world and its problems (washing up especially). It has also developed my learning abilitites and oppourtunites to go out and meet new people without being nervous about doing so.

If you had 3 words to sum up your time with us what would they be?

Challenging, enjoyable, educational!

Would you recommend Northumbria University to a friend?

Yes!
