Why did you choose Northumbria University, Newcastle?

It had the ideal course for me.

What do you think of Newcastle and our region and what are your favourite things to do?

I feel lucky to live in Newcastle. There are lots of things to do and see. I like visiting attractions such as the Castle Keep and exploring and finding new places to visit in the city.

Did you find Northumbria University welcoming? Was it easy to fit in?

Yes, very, everyone is lovely and very approachable.

What have you enjoyed most about coming to Northumbria University?

It is a great environment to learn in. The Staff are wonderful.

Who has helped you most since you came to Northumbria?

Probably the Chemistry tutor Anne Willis. She always has time for her students.

Who has inspired you most at Northumbria University?

Again, Anne Willis. She has brought out a love for Chemistry that I never knew I had.

What is your favourite place on campus?

Habita. Great food and a great place to relax before lectures.

What is the best thing about your course?

The wonderful knowledge of the staff. I am privileged to be taught by them.

What are the most valuable lessons you have learnt to date?

Don't leave printing important work to the last minute!

What do you want to do in the future? What skills have you learned/improved that you think will be of most use in your future career?

Not 100% sure yet, but either victim support, law enforcement or science based jobs. The forensics side of the course is great for teaching us SOP's that would be useful in a real working lab.

If you could offer some advice to students thinking of coming to study here what would you say?

If it's the course you want to do then definitely go for it. Don't waste any time.

How do you feel you have changed as a person since being at Northumbria University, Newcastle (e.g. confidence)?

I have gained confidence in myself and my abilities and learned that I am capable of more than I knew.

Involving, Stimulating, Supportive
