Where are you from?

Sunderland

Why did you choose Northumbria University, Newcastle?

As a Law student, Northumbria University was a top choice for me as the course incorporates the LPC or BPTC (whichever you choose) which I felt was a fantastic opportunity and great value for money.

What do you think of Newcastle and our region and what are your favourite things to do?

I love Newcastle. It is great for shopping and going out for food and drinks, but it also has a lot of culture and the Quayside is a great place to relax at and enjoy the scenery.

What has surprised you most about living in Newcastle and this region? What has impressed you most?

I am surprised by just how much there is to do. You cannot be bored in Newcastle!

Did you find Northumbria University welcoming? Was it easy to fit in?

Yes, staff are willing to help with whatever you need - all you need to do is email them. I have found it very easy to fit in here, everyone is friendly.

What have you enjoyed most about coming to Northumbria University?

I have enjoyed the sense of community amongst the University and the SU.

What is your favourite place on campus?

Definitely CCE - as a Law student, it has all the facilities I need for a long working day.

Have you joined any sports teams, clubs or been involved in any volunteer projects? Tells us about the highlights?

I write for NU:Life magazine and this has really encouraged my writing skills. I have thoroughly enjoyed doing something totally new and meeting new friends.

What is the best thing about your course?

It is extremely practical and I can see how topics will apply in real life when I graduate.

What do you want to do in the future? What skills have you learned/improved that you think will be of most use in your future career?

I want to become a Barrister. My degree has helped me gain a whole array of skills that will hopefully benefit me in my future career.

How do you feel you have changed as a person since being at Northumbria University, Newcastle (e.g. confidence)?

I have became a lot more confident. Two years ago I would never have dreamed of becoming a Barrister as I simply did not have the confidence or belief in myself - but now, I am pursuing my dreams and confident that I can make it in the legal profession.

If you had 3 words to sum up your time with us what would they be?

Exciting, fun, hard-work!

Would you recommend Northumbria University to a friend?

Yes!
