Newcastle is a brilliant city with something for everybody. I like all the sports facilities it has to offer.

What has surprised you most about living in Newcastle and this region? What has impressed you most?

For a large city it is easy to commute around. The Metro system and public transport in general is very good. Cyclists like myself are well looked after too.

Very welcoming. Lots of activities, advice, presentations and general help to fit in.

I love the fact I can see my skills developing every year which is increasing my confidence to enter the professional workplace

Who has helped you most since you came to Northumbria?

All the environmental health tutors provide first class support.

 The Hub

What is the best thing about your course?

The variety of modules keeps interest levels high and refreshed.

What are the most valuable lessons you have learnt to date?

To do things today and not leave until tomorrow.

Have you taken up any opportunities to travel with your current course/undertake field trips?  If so, please tell us about them.

There are lots of field trips on environmental health. It is good because it takes what you have learnt and applied to a practical point of view to further reinforce ideas.

If you could offer some advice to students thinking of coming to study here what would you say?

I would recommend it. Great city, friendly campus and it's never too much trouble gaining advice and help from tutors.
