Where are you from?

Lincolnshire

Why did you choose Northumbria University, Newcastle?

Because of the great courses available, the amazing gym and the social factors of living in Newcastle.

What do you think of Newcastle and our region and what are your favourite things to do?

Newcastle is great! I have probably travelled around Northumberland more than the regular student as I went on work placements and also had the advantage of having a car. I love going to Tynemouth and also to Beamish. I also enjoy just going into the town and wondering around the local parks.

What has surprised you most about living in Newcastle and this region? What has impressed you most?

It surprised me how close the beach and the countryside is. You get the perks of living in a social city with the luxury of having the great outdoors just a stones throw away.

What have you enjoyed most about coming to Northumbria University?

I have enjoyed meeting new friends, some of which I hope to keep forever.

What is your favourite place on campus?

The basement library. It's such a relaxed atmosphere. There's no pressure and work flows so much easier in that sort of environment. Also the gym is fantastic!!!

What is the best thing about your course?

The tutors are amazing. Louise, Mary, Tanya to name a few have been the best and most motivating lecturers you could ask for.

Have you worked on any projects with businesses or been on a placement? What were your most memorable experiences?

I have been on placement with Northumbria police. My most memorable experience was working in the villiage of Rothbury, the officers there were so friendly and supportive of their communities.

How do you feel you have changed as a person since being at Northumbria University, Newcastle (e.g. confidence)?

I have become more confident at meeting new people and I have learnt more about enjoying myself with friends.

If you had 3 words to sum up your time with us what would they be?

Sleep, work, play!

Would you recommend Northumbria University to a friend?

Yes
