Why did you choose Northumbria University, Newcastle?

I chose Northumbria University because the University offers good quality education.

What do you think of Newcastle and our region and what are your favourite things to do?

Newcastle is a more peaceful place compared to London. I enjoy sightseeing throughout Newcastle.

What has surprised you most about living in Newcastle and this region? What has impressed you most?

I was surprised that the night life in Newcastle was amazing. I am most impressed by the Millennium Bridge's design and function.

Did you find Northumbria University welcoming? Was it easy to fit in?

Yes. Northumbria University is welcoming and very easy for us students to get around and meet new friends at the same time.

What have you enjoyed most about coming to Northumbria University?

I most enjoyed coming to Northumbria University to gain education from the degree which I had always wanted.

Who has helped you most since you came to Northumbria?

My lecturers and module tutors.

Who has inspired you most at Northumbria University?

My father since he was also a student here during Polytechnic.

What is your favourite place on campus?

My favourite place on campus is Habita.

Have you joined any sports teams, clubs or been involved in any volunteer projects? Tells us about the highlights?

I was involved in the Malaysian Society two years ago as one of the committee. It is great to join one of the societies in the Students' Union and I was also able to get to know lots of people in a short amount of time.

What is the best thing about your course?

The best thing about my course is most of the things I learned so far will be of use to me in the future.

What are the most valuable lessons you have learnt to date?

Most valuable lesson is I have gained the knowledge to measure properties and determine properties' value.

What do you want to do in the future? What skills have you learned/improved that you think will be of most use in your future career?

I want to be a successful property surveyor. I learned presentation and communication skills within my assignments. These skills I will be able to use in my future.

If you could offer some advice to students thinking of coming to study here what would you say?

Please do not worry. The University will help you on most of your problems.

How do you feel you have changed as a person since being at Northumbria University, Newcastle (e.g. confidence)?

Yes. Since I came here, I have learned to be independent and gained more confidence.

If you had 3 words to sum up your time with us what would they be?

Newcastle is awesome!

Would you recommend Northumbria University to a friend?

Yes!
