Why did you choose Northumbria University, Newcastle?

It offered the best law course, is a great student city and is a lovely place to live.

What do you think of Newcastle and our region and what are your favourite things to do?

It's a great city for living, working and enjoying university life. I enjoy being anywhere in a 5 minute walk. I feel safe in the city.

What has surprised you most about living in Newcastle and this region? What has impressed you most?

I've been most impressed by the mass amount to do in such a short distance - shops that are a walk away, even more at the Metro Centre and the beach, too.

Did you find Northumbria University welcoming? Was it easy to fit in?

Absolutely! The Open Days were brilliant, the University atmosphere is welcoming and easy! I love it!

What have you enjoyed most about coming to Northumbria University?

The regular activities by the Students' Union, opportuntiies to meet new people and build CV's.

Who has helped you most since you came to Northumbria?

My lecturers.

Who has inspired you most at Northumbria University?

The vast number of guest lecturers that Northumbria have.

What is your favourite place on campus?

Sport Central - it's amazing!

Have you joined any sports teams, clubs or been involved in any volunteer projects? Tells us about the highlights?

I love my volunteering position, I get a regular opportunity to help people. I play recreational sport and I am involved in law clubs too. I get to meet so many different people through these.

What is the best thing about your course?

It's so interesting and it's what I've always wanted to do.

What are the most valuable lessons you have learnt to date?

Keep on top of work, a degree is nothing like school!

What do you want to do in the future? What skills have you learned/improved that you think will be of most use in your future career?

A barrister is my legal ambition, my degree and constant communication with volunteering is key for future clients.

Have you worked on any projects with businesses or been on a placement? What were your most memorable experiences?

I'm currently on work experience and love seeing aspects of my degree in the everyday work I see and get involved in.

If you could offer some advice to students thinking of coming to study here what would you say?

DO IT!

How do you feel you have changed as a person since being at Northumbria University, Newcastle (e.g. confidence)?

I'm much more confident in myself and my friends and family have all noticed it before I did.
