Why did you choose Northumbria University, Newcastle?

The city appealed to me and I liked the course on my visit.

What do you think of Newcastle and our region and what are your favourite things to do?

I enjoy the cleanliness of the city, Newcastle is not a daunting city. I like how close the lake district as well as the coast. favourite things to do would be going to the local pubs and green areas.

What has surprised you most about living in Newcastle and this region? What has impressed you most?

The cleanliness of the city and how small Newcastle is.

Did you find Northumbria University welcoming? Was it easy to fit in?

I found myself settling in quickly, the University was welcoming.

What is your favourite place on campus?

Habita in the Students' Union.

Have you joined any sports teams, clubs or been involved in any volunteer projects? Tells us about the highlights?

I joined the NSPAS which I have enjoyed and the Kilimanjaro Climb Team, I have found this to be a great way to meet people.

What is the best thing about your course?

The ease of access to material through the eLearning Portal.

What are the most valuable lessons you have learnt to date?

You get back what you put in.

What do you want to do in the future? What skills have you learned/improved that you think will be of most use in your future career?

My time managament has improved dramatically.

If you could offer some advice to students thinking of coming to study here what would you say?

Come on a visit and in your own time and get a feel of the place, learn 'Geordie' lingo!

How do you feel you have changed as a person since being at Northumbria University, Newcastle (e.g. confidence)?

Confidence definitely and becoming a more proactive person.

If you had 3 words to sum up your time with us what would they be?

Work then play!
