Why did you choose Northumbria University, Newcastle?

I chose Northumbria because of the teaching style,  their relationship with the local legal community and the fact that I can obtain my Barrister qualification as well as a Masters in one programme.

What do you think of Newcastle and our region and what are your favourite things to do?

Newcastle is a very lively city. There's loads of restaurants, stores, just something for everyone to do. I mostly enjoy trying out the different rstaurants Newcastle has to offer.

Did you find Northumbria University welcoming? Was it easy to fit in?

Yes!

What have you enjoyed most about coming to Northumbria University?

The standard of excellence at the University, especially the Law School combined with the beautiful city.

The Law School.

What is the best thing about your course?

I love that it's practical and you get hands on experience of what your career my be like.

What do you want to do in the future? What skills have you learned/improved that you think will be of most use in your future career?

I aspire to become a Barrister. I've learned so many skills since I've been here but one that stands out is my advocacy skills. I've done speech competitions before but never did advocacy and I was able to learn the difference and how to build on both skills.

Have you worked on any projects with businesses or been on a placement? What were your most memorable experiences?

I was afforded the marshaling opportunity with a Crown Court judge. It was an amazing experience as I was able to sit in on cases and really experience how the process that I learn about in clasaes, actually takes place.

Come! Its an awesome University. The staff are hospitable, very helpful and enthusiastic about their job.
