Where are you from?

Why did you choose Northumbria University, Newcastle? 

For the facilities, sports team and the social life and nightlife.

What do you think of Newcastle and our region and what are your favourite things to do? 

Playing basketball and representing the University, going out with my friends. The region has beautiful architechture.

What has surprised you most about living in Newcastle and this region? What has impressed you most? 

How friendly the local people were, how big the nightlife side of the University is. The quality of life is the most impressing with the low prices compared to down south.

Did you find Northumbria University welcoming?  Was it easy to fit in?

At first it was hard but once I joined the basketball team I felt more at home around people with similar interests as me.

Have you joined any sports teams, clubs or been involved in any volunteer projects? Tells us about the highlights?

Basketball team, highlights have been getting promoted to the 2nd but top league and being the one of only 2 second teams in the university in such a high league.

What are the most valuable lessons you have learnt to date? 

How to look after myself and be independant, and how to be confident with my abilities.

What do you want to do in the future? What skills have you learned/improved that you think will be of most use in your future career? 

I want to be an art director at a big company such a ogilvy. The ability to teach myself.

Have you worked on any projects with businesses or been on a placement? What were your most memorable experiences? 

I project managed the clothing production and designed for the mens 2nds/and thirds clothing aparell.

How do you feel you have changed as a person since being at Northumbria University, Newcastle (e.g. confidence)?  

I have grown up, gained more confidence and I now know what I want from the next few years of my life.

If you had 3 words to sum up your time with us what would they be?  

Absolutely amazing experience!

Would you recommend Northumbria University to a friend? 

Definitely!
