What will I learn on this module?

The module will help you to understand key vocabulary and concepts underpinning culture and provide the tools to understand how culture may impact on effective communication. Through application of cultural models and reflective exercises, you will enhance your self-awareness, preparing you to navigate group work more successfully.

Module abstract

This module will provide an introduction to the concept of intercultural communication, allowing you to reflect on how culture can affect the ability to communicate effectively. By framing cultural insights, you will gain a deeper understanding of diverse cultures and enhance your self-awareness of your own communicative competence. This module equips you with foundational knowledge and skills, laying the groundwork for successful collaboration in diverse study settings.
