Information on how you can study abroad as part of your American Studies degree.

American Studies students have an excellent opportunity to broaden their horizons and experience a different culture as part of the Northumbria University study exchange programme. In the second year of study, students can opt to spend the second semester at one of our partner institutions in North America.

Research in Humanities is divided across two distinct areas: English (Literature, Language and Linguistics and Creative Writing) and History. Alongside these research areas we also have our American Studies research grouping, which draws on researchers from both English Literature and History.
