The purpose of this course is to provide an understanding of sport and exercise nutrition and facilitate your ability and confidence to match different foods and meals to the advice. The course content is structured to answer the following questions:

What are the general daily nutrition requirements for an active person?

What should you eat before training or competition to aid performance?

When should you eat during training or competition to maintain performance?

What should you eat after training or competition to aid recovery?

You will be signposted to example foods and meals throughout to help make sense of the information and tailor it for an individual. This includes some downloadable recipe cards and kitbag resources. There are knowledge checks throughout as opposed to a final assessment, and you will be able to download a certificate to confirm completion of the course.

It is aimed at individual athletes, coaches, or other individuals who would like to understand more about how nutrition can help performance and recovery.
