2023 Outstanding Papers for Energy Advances

Back to ReNU News buttonUdari Wijesinghe (Cohort 3) recent publication in Energy Advances was selected as one the Outstanding Papers for 2023 by the Royal Society of Chemistry.

Udari and fellow authors research interests lie in emerging materials for thin films solar cells and solar fuel applications. This involves fabricating and characterising photovoltaic devices, and the investigation of the properties of these fascinating materials such as antimony selenide, cadmium telluride, CZTSSe, perovskite materials and organic semiconductors.

The publication ‘Defect engineering in antimony selenide thin film solar cells’ reviews the defect chemistry of antimony selenide, which is a promising earth abundant semiconductor for photovoltaics and solar fuel applications. The hope is that this review article will make the defect chemistry of antimony selenide more approachable and concise for the scientific reader.
