It all comes together in cities. Agglomeration economies foster innovation and creativity in cities, but also inequality and disadvantage. By understanding how our urban economy is organised through an inclusive and diverse approach, we could be better equipped to cope with the polycrisis and rising inequality faced by modern city regions.
