Northumbria University welcomes applicants from Russia with a range of qualifications across our pathway, undergraduate, postgraduate and research courses.

Please note that the following are general entry guidelines for students from Russia. Actual requirements may vary depending on your chosen course of study, and some courses may have specific or additional entry criteria; full details are available in our course directory. Decisions for entry will also be based on personal statements and previous study information, not just your final course grading.

Although some courses have specific requirements for entry,Northumbria will consider any qualification for entry to its courses.

For entry to: You will need: Grade Required:
International Foundation Programme Certificate of Secondary Education Average of 4
1st Year Undergraduate  Certificate of Secondary Education and an acceptable grade from a recognised Foundation programme. Average of 4 in Certificate of Secondary Education and all Bs in Foundation Programme
First year of Bachelor degree/Bakalvr minimum GPA 3/Satisfactory
Postgraduate Programmes  5 year University Diploma or New-style 4 year Bachelor Degree  Average of 3.8 for courses requiring a UK 2:2 equivalent

Average of 4.2 for courses requiring a UK 2:1 equivalent
Graduate Certificate Bachelor Degree  3 / Satisfactory or above
