You will usually stay in accommodation on the City Campus.

Please refer to Northumbria’s English language requirements for speakers of other languages as well as for information on English language courses and extra language support available while studying at Northumbria. The majority of Study Abroad students will take modules at Level 5 (Year 2) or Level 6 (Final Year) and will be expected to have the appropriate requirement for the modules requested.

How do I apply?

In the first instance you will need to discuss your wish to Study Abroad with your tutor in your home institution and your home Study Abroad administrator. They can work with you to devise a collection of modules that will meet your needs. Further information on the current modules available can be found in the 'Constructing your Programme' link on this page.

You should then complete the application form on this page and email your completed form to Northumbria's Study Abroad Team using er.studyabroad@northumbria.ac.uk

Please also use the guidance document (which is also provided on this page) for assistance in completing the form.

Applications for the September semester must be received by 1st of June, and for the January Semester by 1st November.

If you have any further questions please contact Northumbria's Study Abroad Team using the form below.
