Panopto: Your Online Video Hub

What is Panopto?

Panopto is the video capture software used at Northumbria University to securely record, upload, share and edit videos. These videos are linked to your Blackboard modules and programmes and are accessible from any device.

Tutors use Panopto to pre-record lectures and to capture live teaching sessions, so that you can review them at a time that suits you. The recordings can range from your tutor talking over a PowerPoint Presentation, live webpage, document or it could be a recording of a laboratory experiment, or a scenario situation.

How do I access Panopto?

You can access Panopto:

  • Within your Blackboard module or programme.
  • On Northumbria University computers on campus.
  • Using Panopto Capture, the web recorder tool.
  • By installing the Panopto Recorder software on your own device.
  • By logging in with your Northumbria University username and password at northumbria.cloud.panopto.eu

How will I use Panopto?
