Dr Dongjun Li

Assistant Professor

Department: Newcastle Business School

Dongjun Li received her PhD Degree in the School of Engineering at Newcastle University in 2019. Her PhD study was jointly funded by the EPSRC and Network Rail and focused on network revenue management for the rail industry. She has developed a C++ software tool for the UK railway infrastructure manager (Network Rail) to design pricing strategy for allocating the railway capacity to freight operating companies. In the software package, Dongjun has applied bi-level linear programming, stochastic programming, inverse programming, and game theory to analyse the decisions made by multiple stakeholders involved in the railway system. Prior to moving to an academic career, Dongjun has spent 16 years working on project management in the railway industry.

Her current research interests include:

1) Pricing and revenue management;

2) Game theory;

3) Business analytics.
