Dr Sinan Gonul

Dr. M. Sinan Gönül completed his Ph.D. in Business Administration (in the area of Decision Science & Operations Management) in 2007. Prior to his PhD, he holds an MBA and a first degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. He also conducted postdoctoral research on Judgment and Decision Making in the Department of Psychology at Glasgow Caledonian University between 2009 – 2010. Before joining to Northumbria University as a Senior Lecturer, he had been working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Business Administration, Middle East Technical University (METU), Ankara, Turkey. His teaching portfolio includes many undergraduate and graduate level courses/modules related with Management Science, Quantitative/Multicriteria Decision Making, Judgment & Decision Making, Design/Analysis of Experiments and Business Forecasting. His research interests focus on Judgmental Forecasting, Forecasting/Decision Support Systems, Judgment & Decision Making and Behavioral Operations Management and Operations Research. He has published in various prestigious journals including Journal of Behavioral Decision Making, Decision Sciences Journal, European Journal of Operational Research, Production and Operations Management, Decision Support Systems, International Journal of Forecasting, Journal of Forecasting and Technological Forecasting & Social Change.
