Dr Michael Elsdon

Assistant Professor

Department: Mathematics, Physics and Electrical Engineering

I joined the team in 2008. I obtained my first and second degrees at Northumbria University. Following this I became a post-doctoral researcher in the area of breast cancer detection on a joint project between Northumbria University and Newcastle University Medical School.

Michael Elsdon

My research interests invlove both microwave engineering and pedagogy. In the microwave engineering field, I have been involved in areas including microwave imaging and microwave antenna design. In the pedagogy field, I have a particular interest in the effectiveness of analysing the effectiveness of using technology enhanced learning to improve studentg learning.
