Volunteers required for collaborative leadership in integrated care systems research study

18th October 2023

Northumbria PhD Doctoral student Jacqui Moore is inviting participants to take part in a research study investigating collaborative leadership within the North East and North Cumbria Integrated Care System.

As a senior public health manager/prevention lead within the Kent and Medway Integrated Care System,  Jacqui is well placed to undertake the study, and is looking to recruit participants from across local government, voluntary sector and the NHS. In particular, she is interested in understanding more about how collaborative leadership can be fostered, and how this can happen within the North East and North Cumbria Integrated Care System.

She explains: “For this study the view I’m taking is that leadership is more about the interactions that happen between people in a particular context than individuals taking the lead in a given situation. I want to hear from people who are over 18, work or volunteer within the North East and North Cumbria Integrated Care System, are middle or senior leaders, and those who have a role which requires collaboration across professional boundaries or collaboration across different organisations.”

Participants would be invited to take part in a three-stage diary study including:

An initial interview to talk about the participant's understanding and experiences of collaborative leadership.

A diary where the participant is asked to record their experiences and reflections of collaborative leadership over a period of time.  The participant can choose how they record their diary e.g. written, word processed, audio recording.

Concluding interview which is an opportunity to clarify any points and gain further insight into the participant's views and reflections.
