Education Secretary sends message to international students

16th August 2024

The Secretary of State has set out in a short video that the UK Government continues to support and value the contribution that international students make to the UK and that they should feel welcome to come and study in the UK.

The message for international students is that if you meet the criteria for entry to a UK university and for entering the UK on a student visa, then the British government and the British people will welcome you. She expresses her admiration for international students taking a leap of faith, developing new skills and chasing new horizons and confirms her passion is for a Britain that looks outwards in optimism

A Britain that builds bridges of friendship with other nations.

A Britain that values the contribution of international students.
