Advanced Clinical Practitioner Masterclass - National Deceased Donation Course for Qualified Advanced Critical Care Practitioners (NDDC ACCP) - 5th June 2025

This event is part of a suite of masterclasses aimed at Qualified Advanced Practitioners that have been kindly part-funded by NHS England.

Come and join us for a day of theoretical aspects concerning deceased donation and high-fidelity simulation for qualified ACCPs. This course has been developed through a national consultation in collaboration with NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) and Northumbria University.

Topics covered will include:

  • Deceased organ donation in the UK
  • Ethical, legal and professional guidance
  • Referral and stabilisation
  • Donor optimisation
  • Diagnosis of death

Please note that this course is open only to qualified individuals currently working in an ACCP or equivalent role within critical care. Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine (FICM) ACCP membership is not a prerequisite for this course, nor is participation dependent on prior completion of the NHSBT/FICM Optional Skills Framework for Diagnosing Death for Donation after Circulatory Death.
