This one-day seminar seeks to bring together legal professionals, academics, students, and trade unionists to explore the complex legal challenges at the intersection of justice, employment law rights, and living a reproductive life in the workplace.

Key themes of the seminar include:

•    Abortion as a Labour Rights Issue: The Workplace as a Site of Abortion Surveillance

•    Fertility treatment in the workplace: the case for blurring the boundaries of pregnancy rights and protections

•    The Dynamics of Parenthood and the Cost of Parenthood

•    Work/life balance rights: foregrounding care in work?

•    Uncertain Futures: Intergenerational Stagnation and Equality in the Workplace

•    The Intersection of Menopause and Work

•    The Importance of Policy Design in Supporting Work-Family Balance for Mothers and Fathers: A Comparison to the “Nordic Model”

•    Male Informal Caregivers & Workplace Disclosure

This seminar is not only timely in spotlighting these vital debates but also aims to foster international, interdisciplinary, and multidisciplinary collaboration.

We will hear from speakers on legally significant workplace issues, with the goal of shaping a more inclusive and equitable workplace landscape.
