Graduate Futures Careers Events

Throughout the year, Graduate Futures, Northumbria University’s Careers Service, runs a programme of careers events designed to equip students and recent graduates with the tools and knowledge to help them move their career forward with confidence. If you graduated from Northumbria within the last five years you can attend these events as part of your Graduate Careers Club membership.

Many of these sessions are open to you whatever your degree discipline, so if you’re an engineering graduate and would like to know how you get a job in HR then come along and find out how Sessions include:

  • Careers Essentials - Equip yourself with fundamental careers skills including CV and cover letter writing, interview technique and networking at these regular sessions delivered by professional careers advisers.
  • Spotlight on… - Learn about key topics including post graduate study and self-employment.
  • Focus weeks - Find out about career options available in specific sectors such as teaching, sustainability, and the public sector.
  • Employer presentations - Get a step ahead in the recruitment market - connect with employers eager to meet Northumbria students and graduates. Find out about their opportunities and how you can impress them with your application.
  • Student and Graduate Enterprise - Develop your enterprise skills at Enterprise Experience Weekends, workshops, competitions and other events throughout the year.
