Our Mechanical and Construction Engineering department has successful partnerships that bring our courses to an international audience. This also lets our students experience different cultures through our study abroad program. This opportunity applies to both our undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Mechanical and Construction Engineering.

Collaborative Working

We are an international university and we have a number of partnerships with universities and other educational establishments around the world.
The department currently delivers a Manufacturing Systems and Design Engineering programme in Seoul Tech, South Korea, our Mechanical Engineering programme in KDU Penang, Malaysia, and Engineering Management, Mechanical Design Engineering and Product Design Engineering programmes in MDIS, Singapore.

Study Abroad

Many students are keen to take advantage of the option of studying abroad for a year, while reading for their undergraduate degree. This is a fantastic opportunity to enable students to experience living in a different country, improve communication skills, and make new contacts. The workplace is invariably a global market now; so to have the experience of studying in a different country is an excellent way of demonstrating working internationally on your CV.

The department has partnerships with the following universities to enable students to study abroad for a year:

  • VIA University College, Horsens, Denmark
  • EIGSI La Rochelle Engineering School, France
