Northumbria University is proud to be one of nine academic institutions selected to be a Ministry of Defence partner in the Defence Technical Undergraduate Scheme (DTUS), which supports sponsored students (Bursars) studying for technical and engineering degrees, all of whom are committed to becoming officers in one of the Armed Services (Army, Royal Navy, Royal Air Force) or Ministry of Defence Civil Service.
The University places a high value on ensuring that courses are as practical as possible so that students can go on to apply their skills immediately in their careers.
