The university has a long history of accepting students from Australia on to a range of courses.

Although some courses have specific requirements for entry, Northumbria will consider any qualification for entry to its courses.

For Entry to: You will need: Grade required:
IFP Good grades in Year 12 examinations and proof of entitlement to enter the Australian University system. May be considered if entry requirements for target course are not met. Applications will be evaluated on a case by case basis
1st Year Undergraduate Good grades in Year 12 examinations and proof of entitlement to enter the Australian University system. Min 85 ATAR / Min 7 OP (Queensland)
Postgraduate Programmes 3 year Bachelor Degree from a G8 University 70% or 2/4 GPA for courses requiring a UK 2:2

80% or 3/4 GPA for courses requiring a UK 2:1 equivalent
3 year Bachelor Degree from RMIT 70% or 2/4 GPA for courses requiring a UK 2:2

80% or 3/4 GPA for courses requiring a UK 2:1 equivalent
4-year Honours Degree 2.1 / 70 %
Graduate Certificate 3 year Bachelor Degree from a G8 University 50% or above
3 year Bachelor Degree from RMIT 1.5/4 GPA
4-year Honours Degree 3rd/ 50 %

Decisions for entry will also be based on personal statements, previous study information and not just your final course grading.
