The University has a long history of accepting Taiwanese students onto its degree programmes; examples in recent years include Accounting and Finance, Applied Linguistics (TESOL), Business Management, Design, Fashion, Law, Marketing, Public Health, Sport Management and many more.

Although some courses have specific requirements for entry, Northumbria will consider any qualification for entry to its courses.

For entry to: You will need: Grade Required:
International Foundation Programme  Senior High School Successful completion of Senior High 2 at an average grade of 60% or Senior High 3 at an average of 55% or above
Undergraduate Associate degree / Junior College Diploma 60-69% / Pass / 2.0
Postgraduate Programmes  4 year Bachelors Degree  Minimum 65%/CGPA 2.7 for courses which require a UK 2:2 equivalent

75%/CGPA 3.0 equivalent for courses requiring a 2:1
3 year bachelors degree Minimum 75%/CGPA 3.0 for courses which require a UK 2:2 equivalent

80%/CGPA 3.5 equivalent for courses requiring a 2:1
Masters degree minimum 70%
Graduate Certificate Bachelors degree 60%

Please note these are general entry guidelines. Actual requirements may vary depending on your chosen course of study and certain courses may have specific or additional entry requirements, full details can be found on our course directory. Decisions for entry will also be based on personal statements, previous study information and not just your final course grading..
