Although some courses have specific requirements for entry, Northumbria will consider any qualification for entry to its courses.

For entry to: You will need: Grade Required:
International Foundation Programme Tawjihiyya (Secondary School Certificate)   60%
1st Year Undergraduate   Higher College of Technology – Certificate  GPA of 2.75 with around 50-60 credits per year 
Advanced entry from Bachelors degree – entry after year 1 of Emirati degree   Average of 75%, and having completed around 30 credit hours  
2nd Year Undergraduate   Higher College of Technology - Diploma  GPA of 2.75 with around 50-60 credits per year 
Associate Degree  75% with around 50-60 credits per year 
Advanced entry from Bachelors degree – entry after year 2 of Emirati degree  Average of 75%, and having completed around 60 credit hours 
3rd Year Undergraduate  Advanced entry from Bachelors degree – entry after year 3 of Emirati degree  Average of 75%, and having completed around 90 credit hours 
Postgraduate Programmes  Bachelor Degree  CGPA 2.6-2.9/4 for courses which require a UK 2:2 equivalent

CGPA 3.0/4 for courses which require a UK 2:1 equivalent
Graduate Certificate Bachelor Degree  GPA 2.0

Actual requirements may vary depending on your chosen course of study and certain courses may have specific or additional entry requirements, full details can be found on our course directory. Decisions for entry will also be based on personal statements, previous study information and not just your final course grading.
