BangladeshThe University has a long history of accepting Bangladeshi students onto its degree programmes; examples in recent years include Biomedical Science, Business, Computing and Information Technology, Disaster Management and Sustainable Development, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Law, Mechanical Engineering, Public Health and many more.

Although some courses have specific requirements for entry, Northumbria will consider any qualification for entry to its courses.

For entry to: You will need: Grade Required:
International Foundation Programme Senior School Certificate Pass Grades
Higher Secondary Certificate  Pass Grades
 Undergraduate (Year 1 = level 4)  Higher Secondary Certificate CGPA 4.8/5 or 78%
3 year Polytechnic Diploma 65%
2 or 3 year Bachelor Degree CGPA 3.0/4 or 60% 
Taught Postgraduate Programmes 

3 or 4 year Bachelor Degree from any UGC recognised Public or Private University 

2.5 GPA from a public University and 2.7 from a private university requiring a UK 2:2 equivalent (Courses Requiring 2:2)


2.7 GPA from a public University and 3.0 from a private university requiring a UK 2:1 equivalent (Courses Requiring 2:1)

Graduate Certificate 3 or 4 year Bachelor Degree from any UGC recognised Public or Private University

2.0 GPA or 50% Equivalent

Decisions for entry will also be based on personal statements, previous study information and not just your final course grading.
