Career Path: Recruitment Coordinator, Amazon

When I decided to start my Masters in Human Resource Management, I knew that I wanted to pursue my career in this field. After graduating, I started to work as a Recruitment coordinator in the Amazon Operations Talent Acquisition Team, at the Luxembourg Offices. I then progressed into the Campus recruiter role.

I am a recruiter. I am hiring for Intern and Graduate Roles for the Amazon Operations Campus Team. 

What was it about Northumbria that made you decide to study here?

I wanted to study abroad, and I was interested in the quality of the courses and the reputation of Northumbria University. 

What was it like studying at Northumbria?

I loved it! As an international student, I found the support I needed and I enjoyed the mix of lectures and seminars. I have particularly enjoyed working on my dissertation.

How connected was your course with industry?

We had teachers who worked in the HR industry, so their experience was relevant to the modules I was studying.

What was the best thing about your course?

The teachers' support as this allowed me to gain knowledge from their experiences which I could use in my writing.

How did studying at Northumbria help you achieve your career goals/ give your career an edge?

I was able to find a job straight away after graduating, and I know that the education I gained in Northumbria will help me to progress in my career.

Which skills/knowledge did you learn on your course that you use most now throughout your career?

My Human Resource Management module, as I use this in my everyday work.

What did you enjoy most about your time at Northumbria University?

The international environment, the opportunity to work in groups and the support of teachers.

How would you describe your time at Northumbria in three words?

Diverse, challenging and exciting!
